Valedor Partners - Willow Growth Fund Press Release

HOUSTON – Valedor Partners has closed a fund to invest in seed-stage consumer brands and adjacent service offerings. The fund will also invest with Willow Growth Partners, led by Deborah Benton and Amanda Schutzbank, which provides capital to entrepreneurs building the next generation of powerful consumer brands and the disruptive technologies that power them.

Valedor’s new fund has already invested in three growing brands founded and led by women: Top, which sells premium, organic, and socially responsible feminine care products in over 1,500 retail locations across the US and Europe; Dae, which sells premium haircare and wellness products including shampoo, conditioner, hair perfume, and lotions; and Miss Jones Baking Co., which sells organic baked goods and cooking supplies across 6,000 retail locations in the U.S.

Valedor partner Barbara Palmquist said, “We are excited to close our fund focused on emerging, digitally native consumer brands and to launch our partnership with veteran consumer brand investors Deb Benton and Amanda Schutzbank at Willow Growth. As we have seen with our other consumer-focused portfolio companies like Vinglacé, e-commerce brands have strong tail winds and powerful growth dynamics, and we are eager to support early-stage, revenue generating businesses that are on a near-term path to profitability.”

Valedor Partners invests in venture capital and private equity opportunities primarily on a deal-by-deal basis in the pursuit of long-term value for its limited partners.

Willow provides early growth capital to entrepreneurs building the next generation of consumer brands and the disruptive technologies that power them.
